Project Based Learning for eLearning

Project Overview

2 UX designers, 6 Developers, 3 PMs

User Testing

Methods:

1st Stage: Feedback from learning experience designers
2nd Stage: Feedback from teachers
3rd Stage: Feedback from students

Feedback:

Improved step management, visual group status overview, and streamlined submission and feedback process based on user input

Challenges & Research

The legacy system lacked structured tools for managing project-based learning, making it difficult for teachers to monitor projects effectively.

Through user interviews and competitive analysis, we identified key needs: structured project steps, group management, and streamlined feedback processes.

Research & Design

I developed wireframes, interactive prototypes, and conducted iterative user testing with LXDs, teachers, and students. Based on feedback, I refined the design to improve task management, visual tracking, and collaboration tools.

Real-Time Monitoring: Dashboard tracks campaign progress, errors, and outcomes.

Project Scope

I led the design and implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PBL) feature, enabling Learning Experience Designers (LXDs) to create and manage collaborative, step-by-step projects for students. The feature empowers teachers to track progress, manage deadlines, and facilitate student collaboration efficiently.

Real-Time Monitoring: Dashboard tracks campaign progress, errors, and outcomes.

Key Features

  • Step & Group Management: Teachers can create steps, set deadlines, and manage group progress.

  • Visual Overview: Real-time tracking of each group’s status.

  • Collaboration Tools: Enables discussions and file uploads for feedback.

Real-Time Monitoring: Dashboard tracks campaign progress, errors, and outcomes.

Impact

The PBL feature significantly improved project completion rates, enhanced student collaboration, and provided teachers with a robust tool to manage project-based learning.
