Enhanced real-time engagement tools and streamlined collaborative features based on user input
Challenges
The previous Player lacked real-time capabilities, offered limited collaboration tools, and was not optimized for accessibility or device responsiveness. These limitations reduced student engagement and made it difficult for teachers to run dynamic lessons or monitor participation.
Research & Insights
I conducted extensive user interviews with educators and learners and performed competitive analysis to pinpoint pain points and needs:
Findings: Users struggled to participate in discussions, polls, and quizzes effectively. The platform's static nature limited active engagement.
Design & Execution
Created low and high-fidelity wireframes, followed by interactive prototypes to visualize core functionalities.
Collaborated with stakeholders to refine designs, focusing on intuitive navigation and responsive layouts.
Delivered high-fidelity mockups showcasing features like live discussions, polls, quizzes, and device responsiveness.

Key Learnings
Designing for both teachers and students required balancing structure with freedom, ensuring each role could act quickly and intuitively during lessons.
Real-time interaction exposed usability challenges under pressure, shaping a simpler, more predictable interaction model.
Accessibility became central, influencing everything from color contrast to keyboard navigation and multimodal input.
Responsive behavior was not cosmetic, but essential, since classroom use shifts constantly between laptop, tablet, and mobile.
Deep collaboration with pedagogical experts helped define what “engagement” really means in a learning environment.
Overview
As the Lead Product Designer, I redesigned CET ’s eLearning Player to create a responsive, collaborative, and accessible experience for both teachers and students. The new Player supports real time interaction, self paced learning, and class presentations, transforming static lessons into dynamic learning experiences.
Scope
The Player serves as CET’s national delivery platform used across thousands of classrooms. It supports live presentations, quizzes, discussions, accessibility tools, and LMS integration. My role involved redefining the interaction model, improving accessibility, and ensuring seamless behavior across devices.

Key Features Delivered
Interactive Elements: Real-time class discussions, polls, and quizzes to foster collaboration.
Accessibility Compliance: Ensured inclusivity for diverse learner needs.
Responsive Design: Optimized for seamless use across devices, supporting mobile, tablet, and desktop.
Engagement Tools: Enabled participation in live sessions, self-study, and group activities.
Feature Deep Dive: Collaborative Open Discussion
One of the most impactful components of the new Player is the Collaborative Open Discussion feature, enabling students to post images, write responses, and engage with each other in real time. This feature required its own dedicated UX exploration, covering interaction design, moderation flows, device constraints, and accessibility. View the full case study →
Outcomes & Impact
Results: The redesigned player increased student interaction by 25% and improved real-time engagement rates significantly.
Educator Feedback: Praised for its ease of use and versatility in supporting various teaching methods.
Metrics: Demonstrated higher participation rates, faster learning curve, and reduced dependency on external tools.
Conclusion
redesign successfully modernized CET's eLearning ecosystem, creating a robust, interactive platform that transformed the educational experience for students and educators alike.
